Greetings Unto the Populace of
Dragon's Mist and the Rivers Region!

The Shire of Dragon's Mist invites you to the
Faire In The Grove - Demo Day
New Date for 2008!
Saturday, April 26th 2008
10 AM – 7 PM,

The public is invited to join the fair shire folk of Dragon's Mist at the first Demo day of the year.  This event is co-sponsored with Pacific University in Forest Grove and is held on the west lawn of the campus.  Expect shire member demonstrations, fighters, merchants, music & other entertainments. (camping too) Visit the event's website for more information.

If you would like to be a participant in the demo portion of the event, please email the autocrat: Angela Rosa Dellamora, autocrat (at) faireinthegrove (dot) com as soon as possible.  We would really like to have more heavy fighters this year, as the public was enthralled at last year's event with only 8 fighters competing.  There is credible rumor that the heavy fighter that gains the title this year will win a gift certificate of $100 to the armourer of their choice!

The Shire of Dragon's Mist invites all those
with interest in the arts and crafts of the SCA to
Arts Gathering.
Saturday, February 16th, 2008

Arts Gathering is a place to come together to discuss and exchange ideas, socialize and learn, all related to those things we make and do in the SCA. This is a family friendly event with room to work on personal projects you bring as well as classes to take and an opportunity to see and share, followed by an evening potluck.

A social area will be open throughout, sewing machines available for use, and space for you to work on your pet projects or simply enjoy others' company. Beverages will be available during the day. Several eclectic classes will be presented, most participatory. Wear clothing that you can get artistic in. Classes which supply materials may charge a small fee: this information will be available in advance on the event website and from the autocrat.

In addition to classes there will be workshops and an A&S Chat before dinner.
Gold Key (loaner garb) will be available.
